
The Najran Cooperative Association for Poultry Production (NCAPP) took part in the International Year of Cooperatives celebration, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture on Monday, July 7, 2025. The event was held at the Madareem Crown Hotel in Riyadh, with the attendance of several officials and individuals interested in the cooperative sector across the Kingdom.
NCAPP was represented by Mr. Rashid Al-Shariyah, Board Member and Executive Director of the association, who participated in the event’s sessions and accompanying meetings. These discussions addressed the role of cooperatives in achieving food security and sustainable development, while also exploring key challenges facing cooperative associations and the opportunities available to enhance their economic and social contributions. Mr. Al-Shariyah praised the Ministry’s role in supporting agricultural cooperatives and expressed his appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadhli, for his ongoing support to the cooperative sector.
During his participation, Mr. Al-Shariyah reaffirmed NCAPP’s commitment to expanding its partnerships and achieving its strategic goals in supporting the poultry production sector, improving production quality, and empowering local producers to compete in the market.
The association’s participation in this celebration reflects its active role within the national cooperative system and its ongoing efforts to contribute to the realization of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly in fostering a collaborative economy and advancing the cooperative sector
